Course Background:

This course is designed for employees who wish to develop their awareness surrounding the hazards of abrasive wheels.

Course Content:

  • Legislation
  • Selection of wheel
  • Examination of wheel
  • Pre-shift check of machine
  • Mounting the wheel correctly
  • Hazards when using abrasive wheels

Learning Outcomes:

The participant will develop awareness of the hazards when using abrasive wheels. In addition, they will be enabled to select the correct type of wheel to be used for each form of machinery and all situations.

This Course is Designed For:

Personnel who will be working in direct contact with machinery such as con saws, angle grinders, and bench grinders etc.

Training Methodology:

This course is classroom based, it is highly interactive with role-playing and practical exercises to reinforce understanding and learning.

What to Bring to This Course:

While pens and paper will be supplied, participants are free to bring their own. Participants should wear comfortable clothing for practical activities.
